"this record is made of songs composed at home between january & october 2003 (except little whirl which is more old). all things except the bass on kashcut (which is played by emmanuel domingos) is played, sampled and programmed by myself.

Nach einer EP von Melodium liefert das Netlabel des wunderbaren Online-Magazin Autres Directions mit Dudley einen würdigen Nachfolger ab, der sich mit Gitarrensamples und HipHop-Beats bestimmt bei Four Tet und Dntel einige Inspiration abgeholt hat, aber auch Ausflüge in Synthiewolken oder eine Low-Coverversion nicht scheut. Tracks wie "Fall Song", "Let-Down" stechen heraus und bleiben auch sofort hängen.

Wunderschönes Album von Dudley auf "Autres Directions" - wahrscheinlich *dem* französischen Online-Mag für Elektronika, will sagen: Hier hat man Geschmack. Nach der Melodium E.P. als Debut-Release nun also Dudley mit sehr stimmungsvollem Tracks, allesamt getragen, allesamt mit so runtergepitchten Breakbeats, dass sie die Gitarren gut tragen können, mit frecher Kodderschnauze gesampelter Soundbibliothek, tollen Melodien und einfach allem, was ein großes Album so braucht. Und das ist "Seasonnal". So, als ob sich Menschen wie Four Tet nicht drei Wochen Gedanken über einen Track machen würden, sondern einfach aus dem Bauch raus die Maschinen anknipsen und losrocken. Ja, so ungefähr. Gedaddelt im Schlafanzug, ohne dabei dudelig zu sein. Geht das so weiter, braucht man wirklich keine Plattenläden mehr.
